Divorce during tough times.

During a world recession people wonder what affect the down turn in the economy will have on the every day family. Most would think the divorce rate would go up due to stress over lack of work money or fear of both. However studies have shown that the divorce rate actually goes down during hard times. Many couples are forced to stay together to be able to make ends meet. Even though these studies show a decreased divorce rate they do not however bring to light whether the couples relationship improves or if the inevitable divorce is simply postponed until better times. In this it is also unknown if the stress that is endured actually adds to the divorce rate once the money flow returns to a normal state therefore making it appear that having a good income flow is the reason for the increased divorce rate. In past times it was very costly to obtain a divorce and this was part of the reason some couples stayed together. However in present times with the uncontested divorce and the availability to obtain your divorce papers online very inexpensively we may see a new trend in the divorce rate during a recession that we have not seen in the past. It is believed that unlike the past people will no longer be forced to stay together due to the lack of money to obtain a divorce. Now with couples finding there way online and using easy divorce kits to file their divorce themselves. Using these divorce divorce forms couples can receive their divorce papers online without having to hire a lawyer and spend thousands of dollars making their much needed divorce readily available.

I would think it would go up, but I see what you mean about the lack of funds having a play in what is happening.
